Please join the Monroe Youth Hockey Association (MYHA) and Monroe Blues for Business After 5 on February 9. MYHA and Monroe Blues are growing programs, creating opportunities for youth and adults in the stateline area to play the game of hockey. Come and meet our members and players, tour our facility – SLICE, shoot a puck or two, get your picture taken with the Zamboni, and watch some of our talented kids practicing. You will be impressed!

Kristin Determan and Jackie Murray, UW Wisconsin School of Business
“Authentic Leadership and Leadership Principles (The Leadership Challenge)”
Kristin Determan is the Director of Academic Advising and Affairs for the Wisconsin BBA Program in the Wisconsin School of Business where she leads a team that educates and supports students throughout the pursuit of their academic goals. Before transiting to higher education, Kristin spent several years as a classroom teacher. Now, at UW-Madison, she also teaches an undergraduate leadership course as part of a First-Year Interest Group. At the core, Kristin is an educator and invested in other people’s learning and growth. Kristin is a certified facilitator for the Leadership Challenge. Kristin lives in McFarland with her husband, Dan and daughter, Emma.
Jackie Murray serves as the Associate Director of BBA Advising at the Wisconsin School of Business. In this role, Jackie has the opportunity to manage, mentor, and support the professional development of academic staff members, who coach students throughout their academic journey. Prior to this role, Jackie worked as an Internship Coordinator at UW Oshkosh’s College of Business and as an Organization Advising Specialist at UW-Madison’s Center for Leadership and Involvement.

Business After 5 with Blackhawk Technical College and Highland Community College
5-7 pm at the Blackhawk Tech campus in Monroe. Representatives of both colleges will be in attendance. In November, 2012, Highland and Blackhawk entered into a joint educational agreement, whereby students from one institution are allowed to enroll in specific programs at the partner institution and not be required to pay out-of-state tuition. Appetizers and beverages will be served. Come join us, mingle with your fellow members of the community, and learn more about this educational agreement that benefits our region.
