Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Surprise Cookie Patrol made their stops February 8, 2018 at a couple of very grateful members’ locations. This sunny February Morning was a great time to drop in. Robin Nafzger, Owner of House to Home certainly made us feel welcome as she shared with us her “hot of the presses news”.  After working many years for Thorp Paint and Reise Painting, Robin ventured off on her own to opened House to Home.  Her design and customer window business soon flourished and Her Modern farmhouse décor and signs have made her a “go to” in Monroe.   She was happy to announce to us she will be expanding in to the building nest door which will allow greater merchandising of her interior décor lines  and showcase  her design business. Stay tuned as she shares her updates on her expansion with us!

Kelly Severson from Monroe Health Services, Formerly Monroe Manor gave us wonderful tour of the facility and we saw everything from the rehabilitation area to the bird cage!  There was so much to see and hearing about the extensive services they provide to long term and short term residents was overwhelming to say the least.

Dr. Janelle Eckdhal shared with us that she had Joined Dr. Craig Carter 11 years ago.  She says they love being in in such a great historic building and but some time feels they can be easily overlooked since they are on the second story.  She was very pleased we stopped in and we can’t thank her and her patient enough for letting us stop in to say thank you! Dr. Eckdhal and her staff were great sports as a few of the ambassadors “brushed up” on their poses.

A staple of Monroe and A world Famous Cheese Store:  Baumgartner’s has been in operation since 1931.  Chris and Tyler Soukup are the fourth owners and continue the traditions that make them a destination.  Chris showed us how to pin a $1.00 to the ceiling.  He mentioned each year the take the money collected from the ceiling and donate it to a local charity.  In 2017 they donated over $8,000.00 to the Monroe Clinic Hospice.
