Willam Mitchell Ross

Bill Ross has lived and worked in Monroe for over thirty years. He was employed in the Dairy Industry managing a Whey Protein Plant. During his time in Monroe, he has volunteered on the Chamber of Commerce Board, has been an instructor at Blackhawk Technical College, and most significantly, has served the city of Monroe as mayor for eighteen years. In 2011, he published his first murder mystery novel, “Deceived by Self”, to lift up the culture of Monroe and Green County as a tourist destination and to celebrate our rich Swiss heritage. He and his wife, Marilyn, continue to live and to enjoy our beautiful city, and all it has to offer.
